The Stoner Farm is home to one of the earliest (if not the earliest) active historical archaeological sites in the area; the Steiner House site, where LACI Archaeology has been working since the spring of 2012. 

The Steiner House was likely built as the Steiner/Stoner family’s first house in the 1740s or 1750s, and was replaced by the David Stoner House that today serves as LACI Headquarters.

Torn down and buried sometime in the early 19th century, the Steiner House remained beneath the yard of the David Stoner house until LACI Archaeology discovered it in 2012.
