Yalow Garl Rose
Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library
Thursday, February 19
4:30 – 5:30 pm
On the ninth day of February 1816, a baby girl was born to an enslaved woman, most likely on the Wallace farm near Waynesboro Pennsylvania. The girl was named Rose.
Join LACI researchers Scott Parker and Trent Carbaugh at the Alexander Hamilton Library for a story of historical detective work. The research evolved from being about one mysterious person – Rose – to three persons and their probable connection to each other and the Wallace family, the founders of Waynesboro.
